Reed Henderson

Reed Henderson, Underwriting Manager

After three years in LIU’s San Francisco office, Reed Henderson received the opportunity to open a Management Liability office in Los Angeles. He has specialized in management liability coverage for more than seven years, and has spent several of those years working in the brokerage side of the business.

Why LIU? “Right from the start, I saw LIU as a place to grow. As the company expands, so do the opportunities. If you can prove yourself, you will get a chance.”

The LIU Difference? “Having worked on the brokerage side, I knew the company really well. I interacted with several LIU underwriters, and it was easy to tell they were happy and enjoyed their jobs. Plus, I respected their approach to business. LIU will write good, profitable business with fair terms.”

The day-to-day? “I’m building the Los Angeles management liability presence, which requires a lot of marketing, a lot of meetings. It’s certainly not a 9 to 5 desk job right now. I’m out traveling the territory and connecting with brokers and clients face to face, letting them know about our new office and the products we can provide for them.”

Growth and opportunities? “LIU runs a lean organization, which means access to senior management and the ability to put forth your ideas.  If you come to the table with a solution, it will be heard.”
