Humberto Pozo began his career as an attorney, and while exploring new options, he found that, with his legal background, Casualty underwriting was a great fit. "I found the opportunity to evaluate liability exposures so intriguing that I made it my career." With a Masters degree in International Law (LL.M), and more than 10 years of underwriting experience throughout Latin America, Pozo still refines his craft to keep up with changing liability trends across Latin America. "I find the correlation between economic development and legal trends, and how it varies in every country, especially interesting," Pozo said. He has been in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Chile, and interacts with brokers across Latin America to build business opportunities. Pozo's secret to customer service is clear—"Be close to your customers and understand their needs," he said.
