Paul J. Vander Meer has more than 25 years of experience in the property market as a technical risk underwriter with specialties in technical risk engineering and marketing. With industrial knowledge in electric power generation (utilities), he also possesses key expertise in energy, industrial, commercial and builders’ risk. Vander Meer provides consistent service to customers in the engineered risk property insurance line through careful risk selection, critical engineering evaluation and sound underwriting practices. Through relationships with brokers he seeks customers who take a very active role in their insurance buying and for whom building a strong partnership with their broker and insurance provider is an important part of that process.
