Michael Robertson, a 15-year specialty insurance veteran based in Miami, focuses on the on-shore oil & gas, petrochemical and construction underwriting in Latin America. Prior to evolving into an underwriting position, he worked as an independent Loss Adjuster and Executive General Adjuster handling major global energy claims and loss control segments, such as Construction, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation and associated Business Interruption & DSU. An economics graduate and fluent in Spanish, Robertson has also traveled extensively throughout the region and is familiar with Latin American insurance customs and practices. “With so many different parties involved in the underwriting and claims handling process, effective communication is a key factor to success” Robertson said. “Forming strong customer relationships makes that a reality.”
